Tea at Tara, a high tea with an Old South theme, will be held at the Ocean Dunes Club on Jan. 28 at 11 a.m. There will be delicious food, professional entertainment, high end door prizes, as well as a few surprises. GOLF EQUIPMENT NEEDED FOR WOUNDED WARRIORS REHAB

I NEED GOLF EQUIPMENT!! I am collecting golf equipment for our Wounded Warriors to use at Clinics during the rehab process. I know a lot of you golfers out there have some sticks (especially putters) that are gathering dust. Put them to good use, donate them to our wounded warriors. * Celebrating Tobacco Heritage and traditions of Horry County. Artifacts and photographs from the Museum collection.

* William Van Auken Greene was a photographer that moved to the Aynor area in the early 1930's. He spent almost twenty years in the area photographing people. What makes these images so interesting is the wide scope of subjects caught on film.
The pictures range from high school graduations, to family reunions, to farming, to leisure, to funeral services. There are almost 2,000 images in this collection, and we have a DVD of the images available for viewing by the public.

We are renovating the Burroughs School to become our new home. A small number of bricks have been salvaged, cleaned, and identified with brass tags to be sold as collectibles.

They can be purchased at the Museum or the Farm for $20.00 each. The money will be used to build and install exhibits in the new museum.
